TIMOTHY CAHILL JR.
Born Oct. 2, 1927 in Akron, he was the son of Timothy W. and Grace Elizabeth (Brown) Cahill Sr.
Mr. Cahill retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and was a volunteer firefighter for Suffield.
He was an American Red Cross swimming instructor.
He was a hunting and water fowl enthusiast.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Grace (Frohnapfel) of Atwater, to whom he was married 43 years; sons, Michael (Jade) of Baton Rouge, La., Daniel of Columbus, Dennis (Melony) of Albuquerque, N.M., Tim Joseph of Denver, Colo. and William "Ted" of Massillon; daughters, Patricia (Ed) Pavlish of Cleveland, Kathleen of Akron and Linda (Russell) Broman of Akron; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph of Stow, James of Tallmadge and John of Stow; and sisters, Maureen Beebe of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Sheila Seal of Cuyahoga Falls. His first wife, Mary Elizabeth (Curtis); brother, William; and sister, Jacqueline Oleson, died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church in Randolph. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
