Carol Anne Scaife, 52, Lena, died Wed., Nov. 23, 2005 as a result of an automobile/pedestrian accident. She was born on Dec. 31, 1952 in La Crosse to Loraine (Johnson) and the late Floyd Schnabel. After graduating from UW-Eau Claire, she earned an MSJ from Northwestern University. Prior to moving to Green Bay where she was in Marketing and Public Relations at St. Vincent hospital, Carol had worked in Guam, Washington, D.C., and La Crosse, WI. On Sept. 2, 1994, she married David Scaife in Green Bay. Carol had been involved in the Wisconsin Health Public Relations Marketing Society. She was particularly active in getting Green Bay designated as an All American City. She was a rehabilitator for the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Carol was an enthusiastic jogger who ran several marathons, enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved animals.
Survivors include her husband, David Scaife; son, Kyle (Lani) Kaufmann, Green Bay; mother, Loraine Schnabel, Holmen, WI; sister, Mary (Steven) King, Holmen, WI; brother, Mark Schnabel, La Crosse; uncle, Gerald Johnson, Viroqua, WI; aunt, Mavis Holmes, Holbrook, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Schnabel.
