They were married in West Virginia: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XR8Q-1ZS Something was throwing me off because there was a Valentine (1824) and a Theresa (1847) in 1880; after that, the rest of the census records show a Valentine (1844ish) and Theresa (1847ish). I think that there was either an error on the census, or by the transcriber regarding his birth in the 1880 census.
