Brooks, 68, Barber Ridge Road, Woodsfield, died Monday In Barnesville Hospital. He was born January 1, 1920 in Monroe County, a son of the late Leo and Katherine Weisend Brooks. He was a retired employee of the Hercules Engines Inc., Canton, a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield,and a veteran of WW II. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Brooks; two brothers, Roman of Silver Springs, Md., and Frank of Dayton; a sister, Marie Bott of Woodsfield; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received aat the Baauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Adams officiating. Military graveside services will follow in St. Sylvester Cemetery, Woodsfield. Rosary devotions will be said at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home.
