HAYWARD, Wis. — Mary Louise Kavanagh, 80, of Hayward passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital with her husband Jerry at her side.
Mary was born to Henry and Marguerite (Schlink) Siebenaler on Aug. 6, 1933, and grew up in Rollingstone, Minn. She graduated from Nursing School in Rochester, and married Gerald Kavanagh Feb. 23, 1957. They celebrated 56 years of marriage together.
She worked in Minneapolis and Hayward Hospitals and Clinics for 20 years. Mary and Jerry owned and operated Rocking Horse Ranch Daycare in Hayward for 20 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hayward. Mary enjoyed crafting, sewing, crocheting, reading and classical music.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her husband of 56 years, Jerry, of Hayward; four children, Michael (Lynn) of Hayward, Patrick of Hayward, Katherine (Daniel) DeBraal of Madison, Wis., and Philip (Toni) of Sparta, Wis.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Siebenaler, and one sister, Joan (Bob) Lenhertz, both of Minn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Kevin DeBraal in 2012, and one sister Jeannie Siebenaler.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward, with Father Phil Juza officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. — 12 p.m. Monday at the church. Inurnment will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hayward.
