David A. McNabb officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery, Olney. Mr. McLain was born May 28, 1932 in Coles County, Illinois, the son of Robert and Evalena (Shoot) McLain. He married Mary Dow in 1981 and she survives. He worked in telephone construction for Henkle-McCoy in Bloomington. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Olney, a Korean War U.S. Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and BPOE No. 926. Survivors include his wife, Mary McLain, Olney; two daughters, Mrs. Danny (Glenda) Fitzgerald, Effingham and Lezlee Harper at home; his mother, Evalena McLain of Ashmore, three grandsons and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter.
