Theresa S. Kuntz
Theresa S. "Terry" Kuntz, 86 years, of Fremont, NE died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.
Theresa was born December 27, 1927 in Dickinson, N.D. to Vincent and Susanna (Follmer) Miklautsch. She grew up in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson High School. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. After college, she returned to Dickinson.
Theresa married Anton "Tony" Kuntz on April 11, 1950 in Dickinson, N.D. The couple lived in Bismarck, N.D., Redwing, MN, Fremont, NE and Lebanon, MO, until returning to Fremont in 1973. She worked as a cashier at the former Safeway and the former Randall's Supermarket in Fremont until retiring in 1983.
Terry is a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and was a member of several square dance groups and enjoyed bowling.
She is survived by her husband, Anton "Tony"; daughters, Suzan Johnson of Fremont, NE, Mary & husband, Frank Oshel of Ames, NE and Pamela & husband, Karl Fryklind of Fremont; sisters, Eleanore Murphy of Wisconsin, Agnes Bush of Oklahoma, Cecilia Harrity of Michigan and Karen & husband, Tom Murtha of North Dakota; 10 grandchildren, Terri Ann & husband, Dean Brame, Boone & wife, Jerilyn Oshel, Dean Johnson, Daniel & wife, Emily Oshel, Tiffany & husband, Jeremy Broyles, Cody & wife, Jessica Oshel, Danielle Johnson, Emily Fryklind, Shane Kuntz and TJ Fryklind; 6 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Colin "Skip" Kuntz; and granddaughter, Kasie Oshel.
Funeral Mass, 10 AM, Friday, April 4th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Father Ronald Battiato will officiate. Rosary, 7 PM, Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation on Thursday from 3 PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home. Visitation on Friday at church 1hr prior to service. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
