Edward Landeis served in the Air Force during WWII. Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Cyprian Meier officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Bismarck. A parish vigil will begin at 7 tonight. Mr. Landeis was born July 25, 1914, in Morton County. He was raised and educated in Oliver County. He worked for Standard Oil Co. in Mandan from 1940 to 1942. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He married Emily Brooks March 24, 1945, in England. He worked for Huffs Standard Station in Mandan, and then farmed northwest of Mandan from 1946 to 1951. He worked for Belohlavek Trucking, Mandan, until his retirement in 1983. He had been a resident of Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for two years. He was a member of Mandan American Legion and Mandan Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Emily, Glen Ullin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Kathy, Glendora, Calif., George and Martha, Dickinson, and Dr. Henry and Helen, Litchfield, Ariz.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beata and Jacob Braun, Bismarck, and Catherine and Peter Knoll, Sun City, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews; and two godchildren, Sharon Fishman and Delores Tar-bell.
