Beata Braun, 82, 228 W. Turnpike Ave., Bismarck, died Jan. 20, 1995, in a Bismarck hospital. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Rev. Austin Vet-ter, celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck, in the spring. Beata Braun enjoyed gardening and fishing. Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Monday at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, with a rosary being said at 7 p.m. today, with the Rev. Thomas E. Kramer presider. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the Cathedral. Beata Landies was born Oct. 1, 1912, near Center, the daughter of Henry and Rose (Yantzer) Landies. She was raised and educated in Center, graduating from Center High School. She later moved to Bismarck and attended Business College. Beata worked at the State Capitol and Bismarck Grocery before beginning her employment as the secretary of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. Beata married Jacob Braun Oct. 14, 1946, at the Church of St. Mary's in Bismarck. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and spending her time gardening. She is survived by her husband, Jacob, Bismarck; one sister, Kath-erine Knoell, Sun City, Ariz.; and three brothers, George, Dickinson, Joe, Glendore, Calif., and Henry, Litchfield Park, Ariz.
