Walmer, 66 Triple funeral services were held this past week for the Rev. Clarence W. Walmer, 66, Montpelier, who had served for 43 years as pastor of various area United Brethren, Evangelical United Brethren and United Methodist Churches. He held the post in the Edgerton-Emanuel Methodist charge for several years. He was a native of Bangor, Mich. Rev. Walmer died Friday night in the Williams County General Hospital in Montpelier where he had been taken following an apparent heart attack. Final rites were conducted Monday afternoon in the Trinity United Methodist Church in Defiance, Monday evening at his current West Bridgewater Church, and finally Tuesday afternoon, in the Simpson United Methodist Church in Bangor. He was buried in the Bangor. Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lillie; four daughters, Mrs. Shirley Good of South Bend, Mrs. Erma Stork of Defiance, Mrs. Ardith Bradin of Waldbridge, and Mrs. Myrna Weigel of Galena, O.; one son, Duane, of Defiance; 13 grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.
