Stilger, 69, passed away, Friday, September 5, 2014 at his home in Lanesville. He was born on June 11, 1945 in New Albany, In the son of Louis A. and Beatrice R. Kochert Stilger. He graduated from high school in 1963, was an Air Force veteran from 1965 to 1969. He married Crystal M. Harlen on June 21, 1968 and he attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Greyhound Bus Company in Louisville from 1968-2007 and then worked for Auto Driveway in Louisville until 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Roger Stilger. He is survived by His wife- Crystal M. Stilger of Lanesville, IN Two sons- Charles Louis Stilger (Jennifer) and Timothy David Stilger (Patricia) both of Lanesville, IN One daughter- Betty Jean Kristler (Tony) of New Albany, IN Two brothers- Larry Joe Stilger of Lanesville, IN Darrell James Stilger (Peggy) of Crandall, IN Two Granddaughters- Abigail Johnson of Lanesville, IN Charesa Kristler of New Albany, IN Funeral services will be held at11:00 AM Monday, September 8, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon from 2 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, September 7, 2014 and on Monday from 9 AM to 10 AM. Pallbearers will be John, Matt, Dan and Tony Stilger, Kevin Winstead and Frank Price.
