CALDWELL -- Ronald T. Hupp, 75, of Caldwell, died Monday (Aug. 8, 2011) at his home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1935, in Caldwell, son of the late Beda and Agnes Nau Hupp.
Mr. Hupp was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany. He was employed by the former Crock and Schafer Construction Company and retired from C&S Plumbing, both of Caldwell. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He played baseball for St. Mary's Church baseball team for many years, and enjoyed church picnics and instant bingo.
Mr. Hupp also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Vernon Hupp.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley A. Miller Hupp, whom he married Aug. 4, 1962; his children, Linda L. (Lee) McKown of Hanover, Robert A. Hupp (Donna Self) and Roger D. (Ranie) Hupp, both of Caldwell, Judy L. (Kevin) Rush of Bloomington, Ind., and Donna J. Spicer of Caldwell; one brother, Oliver (Melba) Hupp of Caldwell; eight grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East St., Caldwell, where a scripture service will follow at 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, with the Rev. Frs. Wayne Morris and Chet Pavin concelebrants. A veteran's graveside service will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Caldwell, conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
