Diane Mae (Leingang) Gensburger, 53, Mandan, left this earth on February 24, 2013 after a 5 year battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Johnson Kuriappilly as celebrant.
Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Diane was born to Joe J. and Agatha (Berger) Leingang on February 3, 1960 in Mandan, the youngest of 11 kids. She started working in 1978 at St. Alexius in the Dietary Dept. After graduation from Mandan High in 1980 she did the bar scene with her girlfriends from work until 1983 when she found her soul mate, Bruce, at an outdoor celebration. Diane married Bruce Gensburger on December 27, 1985. Diane and Bruce have two kids; Holly Kay, 24 and Kyle Ryan, 21. Diane spent her working years cooking and serving food at many places, the last being Fried's Restaurant, and providing daycare for her niece Michelle. She loved cats and babies. Diane fulfilled her lifelong dream of going on a cruise to Alaska in 2011 which she loved and will always remember. She received her first precious gift from Holly on December 20, 2005, Alexis Jade. Grandma and Alexis spent many days and nights together, loving it most of the time. Diane's last waking moments on Saturday were seeing her second precious gift, this one from her son Kyle and his fiancé Alison, Ethan Anthony, born just 2 days earlier.
Diane will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Bruce, Mandan; daughter Holly, Bismarck; son, Kyle, Bismarck; grandchildren, Alexis Beckler and Ethan Anthony, both of Bismarck; siblings, Angie Bader, Pierre, SD; Andrew (Terry) Leingang, Bismarck; Janice (George) Belohlavek, Tim (Bonnie) Leingang, Linda (Alvin) Skager, all of Mandan; Thomas (Leann) Leingang, Snohomish, WA; Phyllis Dirk, Mandan; Edward Leingang, Reeder; and Walter (LaDonna) Leingang, Bismarck.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Agatha Leingang; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Genevieve (Wirtz) Gensburger; sister, Marlene (Dave) Wetch; brothers-in-law, John Bader and Roger Dirk.

Diane was born to Joe J. and Agatha (Berger) Leingang on Feb. 3, 1960, in Mandan, the youngest of 11 kids. She started working in 1978 at St. Alexius in the Dietary Department.
