Clarence August Herz

Clarence Herz of Brush Prairie WA, passed away on April 7, 2009 at the age of 76. He was born in Glen Ullin, ND on March 3, 1933 to August Herz and Cecilia Schantz, the youngest of 12 children. He married Margaret Studebaker in 1954. He worked for Del Monte Cannery, Steinfeld Pickles and retired from Columbia Machines. He was founder of Honey House Farms. He is survived by his wife, Marge; daughters, Karen Herz and Diane Thomas (Kevin); sons, Wayne and Steven Herz; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Regina Studer and Arlene Holmack; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Joseph and Victor Hertz, Alphonse and Valentine Herz; sisters, Barbara Emter, Kathryn Hertz, Eleanor Stading and Agnes Ketola.
Arrangements are being handled by Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 14th. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Battle Ground. A potluck luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Vincent DePaul Society or Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart/Battle Ground Chapter.
