Mary "Kay" Fulton, 72, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born April 3, 1941, in Evansville, to the late Elmer G. and Dorothy M. (Worman) Walther.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for nearly 51 years for first through fifth grade, and she also taught Bible School. She loved being the wife of a Deacon. Kay enjoyed playing piano and she began as the church musician at Memorial Baptist Church at age 13. Kay married the love of her life, Jim, on June 25, 1960. For many years she and Jim spent time at Kentucky Lake fishing and boating. She loved cooking, gardening, her flowers and spending time with people and her family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her as well as her great-grandson.
Kay is survived by her husband of 53 years, James "Jim" Fulton; sons, Michael and David (Krista) Fulton; daughter, Sandra (Mark) Rawlinson; granddaughters, Jennifer (Ben) Kueber and Brittany (Keith) Williams; great-grandson, Braylin Williams; brothers, Jim (Janice) and Larry (Mary) Walther; nieces and nephews; and step-grandchildren, Brock and Katie Rawlinson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at VNA Charlier Hospice Center, as well as to Dr. E. Steed Jackson and Dr. Thomas Waits for their unwavering care.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ray Deeter, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
