  [S927] Obituary. Georgia Ann Dever Georgia Ann Dever (nee Engler), 79, of Evansville, died on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at VNA Hospice Care Center. Georgia was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Evansville. She was also a member of U.A.W. Local 136 and retired from Chrysler Corporation after 36 years of service. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Donald G. Dever of Evansville. She is the dear mother of Rebecca and husband, Edward Hanephin of Eureka, Mo., Robert L. Bennett of Washington, Mo., Larry J. Bennett of Gilbertsville, Ky., and her stepdaughter, Donna and husband, Gerald Jones of Evansville. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; four sisters, Ida M. Gibbs of Evansville, Patti and husband, Norm Ashby of Henderson, Ky., Lucielle Henry of Sturgis, Ky., and Irene Green of Blackford, Ky.; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Norma Dever of Stow, Ohio; and sisters-in-law, Hazel Foster and Susie Pierson, both of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Ruth Engler, Trudy Onan and Juanita Hess, and a brother, Richard "Dick" Pierson. The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and staff at VNA Hospice. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Park Lawn Patrician Chapel, officiated by Reverend Ruth Milgate. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Evansville. Condolences may be made online at www.mem.com.
