He was 70, a native of Amite, former resident of Amite, and resident of Opelousas. He was an orthodontist and practiced in the Baton Rouge area for 34 years. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. Visiting at Sibille Funeral Home, Opelousas, 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, with recitation of rosary at 5 p.m. Monday, and 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Religious services at St. Landry Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by Father Nicky Trahan. Burial in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery, Opelousas. Survived by wife, Helen Bordelon Brown, Opelousas; a son, Robert Brown, Opelousas; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary Helen) Soileau, Opelousas; two brothers, Francis Brown, Amite, and Joseph Brown, Walker; two grandchildren.
