Blanche M. Fitch
Blanche M. Fitch, 89, of Evansville, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Blanche was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she was president of the Ladies Guild and Altar Guild. She was president of St. Michael's Episcopal Church Guild and was a member of the Altar Guild. Blanche was president of the Flower Growers Garden Club, where she helped inspire the beautification of Wesselman Park. Blanche was an excellent artist and seamstress.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Fitch of Evansville; a son, Charles Leonard Fitch Jr. and his friend, Bonnie Cagle, both of Green Bay, Wisconsin; three grandsons, David Fitch and his wife, Beth Ann of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Roger Fitch of Denver, Colorado, and Patti Fitch of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mark Fitch and Wendy Brisbane of Green Bay, Wisconsin; three great grandchildren, Katherine Ann Fitch, Eilianna Fitch and Spencer Fitch; a niece, Doris Jean Ellridge of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and a sister-in- law, Lucille Crump of Evansville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Leonard" Fitch Sr., in 1983.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 27, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 301 S.E. First Street, with the Rev. Raymond Lord officiating.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 26, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
