OBITUARY: Albert Voellinger, Ice Company's Engineer, DiesAlbert J. Voellinger, 53 years-old operating engineer of 218 North Fifth Street, died at his home at 11:30 o'clock thie morning. Mr. Voellinger, who had been employed by the St. Clair Ice Company for 22 years, had been ailing for the last year.He was born in Millstadt on February 8, 1900, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Voellinger, nee Dietrich, and married Elvira Stein in St. John the Baptist Church, Smithton. On October 15, 1924.Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Verna Mae, wife of Lieut. Joseph Swisher, Tenn.; a son, Wayne Allen Voellinger, Fort Bragg, N.C.; three brothers: Fred Voellinger, 117 North Second Street; Elmer Vollinger, 422 North Second Street, ans Arthur Voellinger, Page Boulevard; two sisters, Miss Erna Voellinger and Mrs. Catherine Roach, both of 28 West G Street; and two grandchildren, Michael Joseph Swisher and Diane Lynn Voellinger. A son, Leland, and a brother, Norman, preceded him in death.He was member of the Operating Engineers Union Local No. 13, and the Belle Clair Home Owners Association.For funeral arrangements see obituary column on Page 23.(Below is the transcript of the obituary column from Page 23.)Voellinger, Albert J -Of 218 North Fifth Street, entered into rest at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 25. Funeral at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, November 28, from the Renner Geminn Funeral Home to St. Peter's Cathedral where the pastor, Msgr. Raymond Harbaugh, will officiate at 10 a.m. Burial in Green Mount Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday.
