Miller, age 87, passed away at Albany Healthcare, Albany, Indiana on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Marvin was born in Newton County, Indiana on September 16, 1926, the son of the late Abner B. and Lydia Miller. He attended the Mt. Ayr Schools. In 1956, Marvin moved to Rensselaer where he resided until moving to Albany three years ago to live with his daughter. His marriage was in Goodland, Indiana on May 16, 1951, to Mary Lou Cudworth who passed away on May 2, 2011. Marvin retired after 36 years at USX in Gary, Indiana where he was a machine operator. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Rensselaer. Marvin enjoyed being a member of the Euchre-Rama Club while living in Rensselaer. Surviving are his loving family, daughter Colleen (Gregory) Dennis, Dunkirk, Indiana, grandson Matthew (Shannon) Dennis, Muncie, Indiana, two great-granddaughters, Lily and Ella Dennis, and three sisters, Mary Ulrich and Marceline (Jacob) Leichty, both of Rensselaer, and LaVonna (Duane) Miller, Taylorsville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Lou, one grandson, Christopher Dennis on September 27, 2008, and one sister, Ruby Good. Pastor John Hostetter officiating.
