According to informations given by my cousin, he was born in Forbach, Bad Wurth. and would have had a son from his first wife Barbara Breiner, named Peter Kimmel as well, born in Erlenbach on 1784 June 17th. It looks like Forbach. One in in Wurtemberg ( is there any prove it is this one ?) Another is in France in Lötringen We can also find Forsbach near Köln. In these places, lastname Kimmel is not present in XVIII. But I have not checked the registers. Only genealogy sites I have another suggestion : 40 km from Niederschlettenbach is a village named Schorbach. Here, Johannes Peter Kimmel was born in 1746. That fit very well with the date of marriage. Maybe the priest misunderstood his birthplace ! This Peter didn? t married nor died in Schorbach. The lastname Kimmel is widely present in that village. Further investigations would ne necessary. Suggestion : change Forbach with « Forspach » ( ?)
