Marianne (Siegel-Key) Olney, 89, died peacefully May 16, 2013 from complications of COPD and pneumonia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Shane Campbell as celebrant. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Weigel Funeral Home, with a Rosary/Parish Vigil at 7:00 pm.
Marianne was born in Harmon, ND on March 14, 1924. She was raised on the family homestead and was educated in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School in 1942. She loved her family and was known for her wonderful sense of humor and for always being there to help others, especially her family. Up until the last days of her life she was cheerful and joking with family and staff at the care center. Marianne's family would like to than Sanford Care Center off Collins in Mandan, for the loving and compassionate care they have provided to her.
Marianne is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Key-Sumner, Thompson Falls, MT; granddaughter, Michelle Key, Phoenix, AZ; grandsons, Greg Key, Moorhead, MN, Chris (Nicole) Key, Bismarck, Dustyn Moore, Thompson Falls, MT; 2 great-granddaughters and 6 great-grandsons; brothers, Jack Seigel, Ken (Jean) Siegel, George Siegel, Bob (Georgia) Siegel; sisters, Jan Rudas, Donna (Nick) Vogel, Rita Lucas and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roland (Ron) Olney; son, Dick Key; daughters, Sunny (Sunshine/Terry Lou) Key-Moore, Kathleen Key and Colleen Key; parents, Jacob and Monica Siegel; brothers, Dick Siegel, Wally Siegel Sr. and Bill Siegel; sisters, Jacqueline Dorband and Genevieve Robinson.
Rest in peace Marianne/Mom/Grandma...Your sweet smile and loving personality will be dearly missed.
