Birth: Dec. 11, 1940 Flasher Morton County North Dakota, USA Death: Aug. 26, 2002 Obituary Bismarck Tribune (Aug 26, 2002) Maxine Frances, 61, was born Dec. 11, 1940, in Flasher to Anton and Frances (Friesz) Hopfauf. She was raised and educated in Mandan. While a young adult, she made her way to the west coast, where she met and married her husband, Robert A. McClinn. They had two daughters, JoAnn and Roberta. Maxine enjoyed being a housewife for many years, raising her children and reading. When her children had grown, Maxine worked for the Bon Marche as a warehouse person for a few years until she and her husband retired in the foothills of Mt. Rainier, Wash. Maxine was diagnosed with diabetes. On Aug. 26, 2002, the Lord was merciful and took her from her pain to join Him by His side. Memorial services and burial were held Aug. 31 at Mineral, Wash. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughter, JoAnn, and husband, John, and seven grandchildren; her parents, Anton and Frances Hopfauf; her brothers, Ronald, Nicholas, Timothy and Kevin; and two sisters, Bernadette Miller and Janette Eckel.
