Reginald "Reggie" Thomas Bahlinger, 85, went home to the Lord on December 16, 2017 in Metairie, LA. He was born in Baton Rouge on November 14, 1932. He graduated from Catholic High School, served in the Navy during the Korean War and received a BA from Spring Hill College. Reggie is survived by his children, Thomas Bahlinger of Metairie, LA; Rus (Melissa) Bahlinger of Gonzales, LA and Regina (Herb) Quiñones of Fleming Island, FL; and his siblings, Marion Bahlinger, Barbara Bahlinger and Harold Bahlinger. His grandchildren are Colby, Rebecca, Rachel, Blake, Brooke, Peyton and Gracie. Reggie loved spending time with his children and grandchildren; especially at Madonna Pines, the Bahlinger family farm. Rus and Regina are so grateful for their brother, Tommy, who took great care of their dad for the past ten years. Because of Tommy our dad was able to continue to live at home which made him so happy. Reggie is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Matilda Bahlinger; and his siblings, Julius Bahlinger, Vernon Bahlinger, Donald Bahlinger, Charles Bahlinger and Kathleen Bahlinger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Bahlinger, Marion Bahlinger, D. R. Atkinson, Tommy Bahlinger, Rus Bahlinger, Herb Quiñones, Rudy Quiñones, Colby Bahlinger, Peyton Bahlinger, and Keith Douglas. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity. Visitation will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 749 East Blvd, Wednesday, December 27, from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am celebrated by Fr. J. Clifton Hill.
