Minnie Walton
Niles woman was benefactor, had son living in Hermitage
NILES, Ohio -- Minnie Walton of 171 Helen Ave., Niles, died Saturday evening (6-22-02) in her residence after an apparent heart attack. She was 83.
Mrs. Walton was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Niles, a daughter of Anna Sandfry Bianco.
A lifetime resident, she was a member of St. Stephen Church in Niles and was a 1936 graduate of Niles McKinley High School.
An avid card player, Mrs. Walton belonged to several bridge clubs and enjoyed golf and bowling.
She was an anonymous benefactor to several charities and organizations and enjoyed traveling throughout her lifetime.
Her husband, Paul E. Walton, whom he married Nov. 27, 1942, preceded her in death June 6, 2001.
Mrs. Walton will be deeply missed by her loving family, which includes: her two sons, Paul E. "Skip" Walton Jr. and his wife Joan, Hermitage; and Richard L. Walton and his wife Marilyn, Niles; her four grandchildren, Mark Walton; Jessica Loutzenhiser and her husband Scott; and Kimberly Walton and Michael Walton; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by six brothers, Frank, Ralph, Joseph, Phillip, Nick and John Bianco; and two sisters, Mary Mangino and Laura Mangino.
The family requests memorial contributions take the form of donations to the General Fund of St. Stephen Church; or to the Tuition Angel Fund of St. Stephen School, 129 W. Park Ave., Niles, Ohio 44446.

Service: Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday (6-26-02) in St. Stephen Church, Niles, with the Rev. John H. Gubser, pastor, as celebrant.
Entombment: Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
