Proposed Change: Michael A. Göltz (I2885)
Tree: Südpfalz / Southern Palatinate
Link: http://www.birkenhoerdt.net/getperson.php?personID=I2885&tree=Suedpfalz
Description: Located his WWI card, gives Nov 2, 1881:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KXBQ-57P
The following might be his death date, as there is only one Michael A. listed in Rochester:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/2CHB-5JQ
The Goeltz's are hard to find in census records, and I assume that the surname was mangled by enumerators. However, I did find Michael living with his sister Katherine and husband, Chris John Miller in the 1905 state census.
Mother, Margaret was also in the household, so it looks like father died before 1905. What has me baffled is a "brother" Oscar (also in household) who is so much younger than his sibs. I just can't buy it. Mother would have been 55 at time of his birth. I found his WWI draft card also, and it states that his mother was a dependent - so it couldn't have been Margaret (as she was dead by then).

Oscar's WWI card:

There are later state census records, but I don't have a subscription to ancestry anymore. Not sure if any of them would suggest his parents.
