Earl M. Kleba 77 of Hixton died Wednesday June 25, 1997 at Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. He was born April 15, 1920 in Hixton Township to Joseph Kleba and Rachel Staffon Kleba. He graduated Hixton High School and married Marguerite Ludeman on July 23, 1946 in Alma Center. They farmed in Hixton area for many years. He also operated a service station in Hixton for 5 years, worked for Sampson Heating and Air Conditioning for 6 years and for Ludeman's South Alma Cheese Factory for 8 years. Served as Chief of Hixton Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years, member Black River Falls Masonic Lodge number 74 and actively involved in local Cub and Boy Scouts. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. Survivors include Marguerite, 2 sons Charles (Darlene) Kleba of Holman and Gordon (Laraine) Kleba of Merrillan, 2 brothers Jack (Mary Jane) Kleba of Watertown and Fred (Mary) Kleba of Oconomowoc; one sister Mary Lou (Marvin0 Faldet of Beloit and 4 grandchildren Keri Klebba, Khris Kleba, Betsy Kleba and Mandy Kleba. He is preceded in death by one sister Elizabeth Danks and one brother Robert Kleba. Funeral at Our Saviours Lutheran Church Hixton. Burial Trinity Rest Cemetery in Hixton.
