- [S927] Obituary.
Helen L. Cummons, 74, of Akron, Ohio, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Jan. 27, 2006, after a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 10, 1931, the daughter of Asher and Cora (Colvin) Agin in Bellaire, Ohio.
She was a homemaker, loving wife, and an endlessly loving, caring and passionate mother. The only rival to her fondness of coffee and opening presents was her love of animals. Though a self-professed coward when it came to the dentist's chair, "Momlett'' demonstrated strength and tenacity whether combating cancer, the ravages of COPD, or attending to the needs of her beloved pets. While our hearts ache for her to be with us, we take solace in knowing that she is in the presence of our Savior, as well as family, friends, and pets who have been patiently waiting for her. She has tenderly touched each of our lives with the gift of her gentle sweetness and engaging personality. Our hearts will never again be complete until we are once again in her company.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur and Lawrence Agin, and sister, Laura Teasdale. She is survived by her husband, Paul C. Cummons; daughter, Sharon (Tim) James of Uniontown; sisters, Sylvia Pugh of Bellaire, Ohio, and Hazell Howell of Powhattan Pt., Ohio. Also left to mourn her passing are "daughter'', Esther Brown of Akron; and "grandsons'', Brian Anderson of Las Vegas, Nv., and Gary Chapman of Uniontown.

Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
