Phyllis Brewer, age 61 of Belle Fourche, died Sunday January 30th, 2011 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Services will be held 11am Wednesday February 2nd, 2011 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Belle Fourche, with Rev. Del Neumeister officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Northern Hills or local animal shelters.
Funeral arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.
Phyllis Ann Rohm was born October 19, 1949 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of James and Gladys (Liggett) Rohm.
Phyllis grew up in Canonsburg and was a 1967 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. Shortly after her high school graduation, Phyllis began a 20 year career with the Central Intelligence Agency.
In December 28, 1995, Phyllis was united in marriage to Bill Brewer at Amelia Island, Florida. Following their marriage they resided in Florida for seven years before moving to Belle Fourche SD where they have lived since.
Phyllis did many things in life including work as an EMT, and being a member of a Dive, Search, and Rescue Team while living in Virginia and Florida. She was also a Massage Therapist at the Plantation and the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, FL. She volunteered her time in several ways, including her work as a hospice volunteer for Hospice of the Northern Hills.
Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed many life memories with her husband of 15 years. She will be greatly missed.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Bill of Belle Fourche; son, Shon (Melanie) Denhoff of Belle Fourche; grandson, Robbie Denhoff of Belle Fourche; brother James (Joan) Rohm of Cecil PA; sister, Susan (Larry) Plunkard of Stafford VA; nephew, Jerry Brick of Culpeper VA; and niece, Ashley Rohm of Cecil PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
