He was born February 26, 1906 in West Middletown, PA a son of Raymond Alexander Liggett and Margaret Burkhart Liggett. He was a farmer. He was a member of Grove UP Church, West Middletown, PA and the Rea Grange. Surviving are five brothers Fred Liggett of Pittsburgh, Ashley Liggett at home, Alex Liggett of Washington, Jay Liggett of Taylorstown and Jack Liggett of Canonsburg; and seven sisters, Hilda Scott and Ann (Willis) Tilton, both of Brandenton, FL, Beatrice (Clair) Waugaman of Greensburg, PA, Virginia Liggett at home, Josephine (James) Craig of Washington, PA and Clara Frye and Gladys (James) Rohm both of Canonsburg, PA. A brother, Ralph Liggett and a sister Nora Huston are deceased.
