Gertrude M. Hohman, age 77, of Louisville, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, November 28, 1999, in Aultman Hospital in Canton following a sudden illness. Gertrude was born August 6, 1922, in Caldwell, and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Louise (Schafer) Nau. Gertrude was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville, an active member of the St. Ann Altar and Rosary Society, and a former quilter at St. John Catholic Church. Gertrude leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, James C. Hohman whom she wed on May 10, 1947; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Purdy Westover of Louisville and Elaine and Gary Wymer of North Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sharon Hohman and Dale and Karen Hohman, all of Louisville; one sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Walter Lisk of Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Gertrude Nau of Caldwell; nine grandchildren, Lori Barton, Jim Beck, Brian Wymer, Shelly Wymer, Kelly Wymer, Matthew Hohman, Michael Hohman, Lauren Hohman and Nicholas Hohman; and one great-grandson, Dustin Barton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 2, at 12 noon in St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville with Msgr. Kenneth Miller officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday 6-9 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Church Building Fund in Gertrude's name.
