Treiber, 67 Aug. 24, 1943 — June 9, 2011 Fay Jeannette Treiber, 67, of Morris Drive in Niles, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Caretel Village of Royalton Township, Mich., following a brief illness. She was born on Aug. 24, 1943 in Berrien Springs to Frank J. and Gladys D.J. (Jones) Treiber. She graduated from Niles High School and has lived in Niles all of her life. She was retired from Simplicity Pattern Company, Niles following a 40 year career there. Fay enjoyed creating various handcrafts and was a companion to her mother for Bingo and other games and as they traveled throughout the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving family includes her sisters Ellen (William) Goodlock of Kalamazoo and Patricia (Robert) Frame and Diana (John) Stockwell, both of Niles; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends of Fay Treiber will gather at her graveside at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 for services with the Rev. Edward H. Slate of Wesley United Methodist Church in Niles, officiating. Contributions in memory of Fay may be made to Lakeland Hospice. Arrangements were made at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
