Pauline O. Brisk, nee Holdener, 90, of Belleville, Ill., born Jan. 8, 1921, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Brisk worked in the cafeteria at St. Teresa Grade School. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., and the Perpetual Help Sodality at St. Teresa's. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Circle 329, and the Polish National Alliance, Chapter 1174.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Ottilia, nee Reifer, Holdener; a brother, Frederick Holdener; a son-in-law, Kenneth Waller; and a grandson, Gregory Sarmiento.
Surviving are her dearest husband of 62 years, John P. Brisk, whom she married on Oct. 30, 1948; her loving children, John Brisk of Belleville, Ill., Paula Waller of Freeburg, Ill., Loretta (Gary) Kramer of Lenzburg, Ill., Dolores Brisk of Mascoutah, Ill., Dorothy (Miguel) Sarmiento of Belleville, Ill., Ralph (Theresa) Brisk of Mascoutah, Ill., and Margaret (Steve) Wienstroer of Belleville, Ill.; 16 dear grandchildren, Elizabeth Helen (Brandon) Rotz, Christine Kirchner, Sarah Waller, Matthew Waller, Jennifer Kramer, Christopher (Erica) Procasky, Nicholas Procasky, Michael, Joel, and Alex Sarmiento, Jessica and Justin Brisk, and Brianna, Dean, Noah, and Shawn Wienstroer; four wonderful great-grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, and Michael Kirchner, and Aiden Procasky; a brother, Anthony (Doris) Holdener of Smithton, Ill.; two sisters, Catherine Thouvenot of Swansea, Ill., and Agnes Schmiskie of Belleville, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Lillian Holdener of Belleville, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Mary C. Brisk of Swansea, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill. A Daughters of Isabella ritual will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 12:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., for a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., with Father David Darin officiating. Burial will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Ill.
