Mary Kraft, 88, Bismarck, died November 28, 2007, at a Bismarck care center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Church of St. Mary in Bismarck, with Rev. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 - 9:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service where a rosary will be held at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mary Masseth Kraft was born on May 5, 1919, in Logan County, to Adam and Philipina (Feist) Masseth. She was raised and educated in rural Logan County. On October 21, 1940, Mary married John Kraft at St. Michaels Catholic Church, rural Linton, ND. John died on April 12, 1974, in Bismarck.
Mary was a member of the Church of St Mary's for over forty years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Eagles Auxilary. She did in-home childcare. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, playing cards, playing Bingo, going to the casino, and cooking. Her most precious times were when she could be with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and many good friends. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and Pete Hoerner, Rita and Lawrence Albrecht, all of Lincoln, ND, and Mary and Fred Jaszkowiak of Bismarck; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Debbie Kraft and Joseph and Lenette Kraft, all of Bismarck; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Sebastian and Maggie Masseth of Bismarck; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosie and William Vetter of Fargo, ND, Jean and Val Gross and Regina and Marvin (Jim) Reuer, all of Bismarck; six sisters-in-law, Mary Masseth of Mandan ND, Mary Masseth and Betty Masseth of Fargo, ND, Mary Masseth of Mesa, AZ, and Jennie Masseth and Chris Masseth of Bismarck, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Frank Krumm; two great-grandchildren, Michael Albrecht-Held and Amanda Helms; two sisters, Julia Chimelesky and Elizabeth Masseth; and five brothers George, James, Adam, Pete, and Joseph Masseth.
Mary's family would like to thank her caregivers at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.
