Birth: Jan. 28, 1918 Death: Mar. 24, 2007 GESSELE, Adeline BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA: Adeline Gessele, 89, died March 24, 2007. She was born January 28, 1918 to John and Lydia Oswald Werner. She and her husband were farmers and ranchers, and were longtime residesnts of Washburn. They took in several foster children. She formerly worked at the Red Fox Cafe, the Washburn Senior Center, the McLean County Museum, and the Washburn Library. She was a member of Washburn Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Ronald (Connie Hoyer) Gessele of Bismarck; a daughter, Charelette (Chris) Holwagner of Center; a brother, Fred Werner of Bismarck; two sisters, Alvina Krein of McClusky, and Ellen Waltz of Phoenix, AZ; 5 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry E. Gessele; and nine brothers. Services were held at Washburn Baptist Church. Interment was at Washburn Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home.
