Ruth E. Wittenbrook, 82, of 46188 State Route 145, Lewisville, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at her daughter’s home near Kingston, Ohio.
She was born at Lewisville, Ohio on August 6, 1930 a daughter of the late Elmer and Cora Anderson Stimpert.
Ruth was a retired service representative for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. and Mountain Bell of Tucson, Arizona with 30 years of service. She was also a former service representative for the Monroe County Veterans Office and also at the Monroe County Historical Society.
She was a member of the Lewisville United Methodist Church, Lewisville, Ohio where she played the piano for many years. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Woodsfield, Ohio and the Order of Eastern Star #268, Woodsfield, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Richard, and Robert Stimpert.
Surviving are one daughter, Marla Kuhn and Steve Thompson of Kingston, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, John (Marilyn) Stimpert of Washington Court House, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Elvira Stimpert of Lewisville, Ohio; one niece, Kathy (Dan) Dean of Washington Court House, Ohio; one nephew, Keith (Terri) Stimpert of Worthington, Ohio; three great nieces, and two great nephews.
Also surviving are her extended family whom she loved very much.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 11 a.m. until the time of Eastern Star services and funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Junior Merckle officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.
