Bio: Bob H. Eiseman, longtime resident of Owatonna died Feb. 20, 2014, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. A funeral service is set for Thursday, Feb. 27, at 1:30 p.m. at Brick–Meger Funeral Home, 1603 Austin Rd., Owatonna. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Friday, February 28, at 10:30 a.m. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the time of services on Thursday.Bob was born March 1, 1934, in Eureka, S.D., the son of Jacob and Rose (Junker) Eiseman. He attended high school in Eureka and graduated in 1952. After high school Bob enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea and Vietnam. After his active duty service with the Army, Bob attended Northern State Teachers College in South Dakota, graduating in 1959. He was united in marriage to Fritz Lindeman on June 22, 1958, in Eureka. Bob taught math when he started teaching in Eureka and later received his Masters in Educational Administration from Mankato State. He worked at Pillsbury College in Owatonna for twenty years. Bob had a passion for teaching and coaching. In retirement he served as the Athletic Director at the Owatonna Jr. High and later ran the Jr. High program, Kids First, through the Owatonna Park and Rec. Bob enjoyed subbing throughout the Owatonna School District. He was the founder of the Owatonna Park and Rec. Youth Scholarship program (Robin Macht Eiseman Scholarship).His life interests include watching the Owatonna Aces, spectator sports, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading, and watching Josh Hamilton play professional baseball for the Texas Rangers who was a close family friend. Bob is survived by his wife of Fritz; children Dana (Polly) Eiseman of Willowsprings, N.C., Roberta Eiseman of Owatonna; six grandchildren, Miranda Anne and Robert (Meredith) Eiseman, Chet (Lindsay) Macht, Niki (Shaun) Gibson, T.J. Sherman and Robyn Sherman; six great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Ashton, Mason, Tate, Jameson and Greyson; his siblings Ione, Ella and Lloyd.
