Gilbert E. Brach, 78
Formerly of Racine
Services were Oct. 8 for Gilbert E. Brach, who died Oct. 3. He was 78.
He served in the United States Army. He was a plant supervisor and plant manager at Twin Disc, retiring in 1987 after 30 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Racine.
Survivors include three sons, William (Terry) Brach, Richard (Sally) Brach and Thomas (Patricia) Brach; one daughter, Deborah Brach Brooks; three sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Barrett of Tucson, Ariz., Dianne (James) Kelley of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Bonnie Brach of Pinole, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
The family has suggested memorials to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 716 College Ave., Racine, WI 53403; or the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Cancer Center, 1320 Wisconsin Ave., Racine, WI 53403.
The Hanson Funeral Home, 3014 Northwestern Ave., Racine, handled the arrangements.

Private burial will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends after the service on Friday in the church Fellowship Hall. Memorials to First Presbyterian Building Fund; or to South East Wisconsin Regional Cancer Center, 1320 Wisconsin Avenue, Racine, Wis. 53403 have been suggested by the family. Allyn, Betty June
STURTEVANT - Betty June (nee: Petersen) Allyn, 79, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2004, at her residence. A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on June 5, 1925, to Adolph and Elsie (nee: Coonley) Petersen. On July 21, 1951, she was united in marriage to Dan Allyn. She was a member of Wisconsin Sportsman Club. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Dan; children, Dan (Margaret) Dow, Susan (Tim) Brucker, John Allyn, Brian (Lori) Allyn, April (Chris) Gordon, Jack Allyn, and Robert (Anna) Allyn; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerome Petersen; and son, James 'Jim' Dow. There will be a time for family and friends to meet at the Hanson Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9, 2004, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Baker, Thomas E.
RACINE - Thomas E. Baker, 46, passed away Monday, October 4, 2004, at his residence. Thomas was born in Racine May 19, 1958, son of Thomas E. and Anne V. (nee: Slaasted) Baker. On November 25, 1998, he was united in marriage to Samantha M. Nejedly. Tom was employed by Regency Mall for a number of years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Tom was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, who will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife, Samantha; his parents, Thomas and Anne Baker; his three children, Ashten Jade, Melissa Samantha, and Cody Thomas Paul Baker, all of Racine; his beloved companions, Sunny and Bear; brothers, Robert Baker of Racine, Glenn Purlee of Racine; sisters, Gail Baker, Sandra (Brian) Callis, all of Racine; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Margaret Nejedly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary Granger Sr. of Wausau, Jeff (Maribeth) Nejedly of Olympia, Wash., Dawn (Jesse) Mendoza of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. A Memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 745 Main Street, Monday, October 11, 2004, 7 a.m. with Rev. Harvey Delery officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 5 p.m. until time of service. Memorials to the family for Tom's children's education have been suggested. NEW BERLIN - Gilbert E. Brach, 78, formerly of Racine, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born in Racine on April 14, 1926, to Gilbert E. and Anita Brach Sr. On May 8, 1948, in Indiana, he was united in marriage to Martha 'Marty' Burke. He served in the United States Army. Gilbert received a Bachelor of Science and Engineering Degree and Doctor of Law Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was a Plant Supervisor and Plant Manager at Twin Disc, retiring in 1987 after 30 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Gilbert is survived by his children, a daughter, Deborah Brach Brooks; three sons, William G. (Terry), Richard E. (Sally), and Thomas A. (Patricia); eight grandchildren, Sarah E., Alexa C., Erik, Chris W., Justin A., Pader, and Chris M. Brach, and Kendra L. Brooks; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Barrett of Tucson, Ariz., Dianne (James) Kelley of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Bonnie Brach of Pinole, Calif.
