George Olheiser NEW SALEM - George A. Olh eiser, 64, former owner of the Friendly Bar, New Salem, died Thursday at a Bismarck hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. MST Monday at St. Pius Catholic Church, New Salem, with burial at the St. Pius Cemetery. He was born May 9, 1917, in Oliver County. He married Susanna Meuchel, Oct. 23. 1939, near Crown Butte in Morton County. He farmed in the Bluegrass area and then moved in 1956 to New Salem, where he owned the Friendly Bar until 1971. He then worked for Peavey Lumber Company, New Salem, until retiring in 1978. He was a charter member of the New Salem Fire Department. He is survived by his wife; one son, Roger, Manchester, N.H.; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Dianne) Knoll, Baldwin, Mrs. Tom (Jean) Roberge, Manchester, and Mrs. Garry (Arlene) Fandrich, and Mrs. Duane (Arliss) Miller, both of Bismarck; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Florian, of Helena, Mont., and John, of Milwaukee; and one sister, Mrs. Val Schaefer, Mandan. A rosary will be said at 7:30 MST Sunday at the church. Friends may call after 5:30 MST Sunday at the church until the time of the rosary. (Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan).
