  [S927] Obituary. Gary Rhea Ehrhardt, 65, of Newark, died July 16,2004 at Clifton Springs Hospital. Gary was born September 16, 1938 inNewark, son of the late Raymond P. and Nina Lanse Ehrhardt. He was alife long member of Park Presbyterian Church. He was a member of theNewark Elks Lodge, 40-year member of the Arcadia Hose Co./NewarkVolunteer Fire Dept., charter member of the Jake's Little Angels -fire dept. water ball tournament team, member of Company 13 whichcompeted for distance trophies in parades. He served for many yearsas treasurer for the Arcadia Hose Co. He enjoyed playing golf, andplaying the 'Taps' at the Memorial Day services for many years. Garygraduated from Newark High School in 1956. He had worked for Jackson& Perkins Rose Gardens, Newark County Club, A&P Foods, Roy MasonDistributors, and Eber Brothers Wine & Liquor. Gary is survived byhis loving and devoted wife of 21 years (married July 16, 1983)Dorothy Willemsen Ehrhardt; son Michael Raymond Ehrhardt of Macedon;sisters Linda (Roger) Hoffman of Marion, Gloria (Charlie) Matias ofWillard; brothers-in-law Van (Catherine) VanHall, Isaac (Dolores)Willemsen, and Ralph (Betty) Vanderlinde; many nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great nephews; extended family from Canada and Florida.The Army flag flew in honor of his military service. The Newark Elksand Newark Vol. F.D. Arcadia Hose. Co. had Prayer Services for Gary.The funeral service at Park Presbyterian Church was officiated by theRev. John Watkins. Burial with military honors followed at MarionCemetery.
