The obituary of Francis 'Frank' E. Noll appeared in the Zanesville Times Recorder on December 18, 2008
RAWLINS, Wyo. - Francis "Frank" E. Noll, of Rawlins, Wyo., passed away Dec. 14, 2008, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne Wyo., after a brief illness.
He was born June 3, 1931, in Zanesville, to William F. and Elizabeth O'Handlon Noll.
Frank graduated from St. Nicholas High School in Zanesville, received a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and received his master's degree from Colorado State University. The majority of his professional career was spent with the federal Bureau of Land Management at various locations throughout the West. Once Frank got a taste of the West, he never wanted to leave. He was the consummate sportsman and over his lifetime belonged to and participated in numerous sport shooting and other outdoor-oriented activities and organizations.
He is survived by his brother, James J. (Clara) Noll of Columbus; sister, Margaret Ann Noll of Zanesville; cousin, Caroline Wymer of Zanesville; several nephews and nieces; and several special friends including, Jim and Gay Seay of Rawlins, Wyo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Agnes Marie Noll (Sister Mary Elizabeth).
Funeral services are 10 a.m. today, Dec. 18, 2008, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 219 Pine St., Rawlins, Wyo.
