As per the Saint Petersburg Archives Anna Maria SCHRENK born 13 March 1868 in Johannestal, Beresan, Odessa, South Russia was the daughter of Michael SCHRENK (24 Jan 1839 - abt 1880) and Katherina Regina BERTSCH (7 Sep 1839 - 9 Sep 1906).
Anna Maria at the age of 19 and her brother Gottlieb at the age of 21, along with their Uncle & Aunt Peter & Margaretha (Zimmerman) SCHRENK and their children; Peter, Catherina, Heinrich, Andreas and Elisabeth, immigrated to America via the Port of Bremen, Germany aboard the SS "America" and arrived at the Port of Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland on the 18th of October 1887.
There are a number of Anna Maria SCHRENK's descendants that believe Peter and Margaretha (Zimmerman) SCHRENK were Anna Maria's biological parents. Before coming to any conclusions one should keep in mind that possibly due the many hardships that Michael and Katherina SCHRENK may have endured in South Russia, it would not have been unusual for kinfolk to legally or otherwise adopt and raise their nieces and/or nephews.
Anna Maria married Ludwig A "Louie" SAYLER in 1889 in McPherson County, South Dakota. The couple was blessed with 9 children; Henry, Emma, Katherine, Louie, Conrad, Emanuel, Daniel, Elizabeth and Esther.
After "Louie" SAYLER's death in July of 1911 Anna Maria married 3 more times; a Mr. JORGESON, Mr. Philip SCHOEPP (m. 1921) and Mr. Andrew ROLLOF (m. in 1929).
NOTE: The Saint Petersburg Archive records pertaining to the calendar years; 1849, 1866, 1872, 1873 and 1880 are virtually nonexistent.
