Son of the late John and Blanche (Gregg) Armbrust. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Eacott; brothers and sisters, Florence Myers of Greensburg, George of Pittsburgh, James, Daniel, John Jr., Gertrude Lohr, Mary Lafferty, Dorothy Sandella and Rose Mitchell. Loving grandfather of three and great-grandfather of three. Numerous nieces and nephews. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as seaman 1C at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla.
