Jamestown, N.D.
Elton Dewald, 73, Jamestown, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, in Central Dakota Village, Jamestown.
Mr. Dewald was born April 17, 1927, in Streeter, N.D., where he grew up and attended school.
He married Erma Rivinius June 16, 1947, in Streeter. In 1953 they moved to Aberdeen, S.D., and in 1960 they moved to Jamestown, where he worked many years as a mechanic for Melland’s Inc. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by five sons, Mike, Grand Forks, N.D., Rod, Russell, both Jamestown, Eric, Devils Lake, N.D., Jeffery (Kimberly), Mount Vernon, Ill.; three daughters, Lottie (Douglas) Bischoff, Eden Prairie, Minn., Angie (Mike) Monczynski, Cicero, Ill., Teresa (Mike) Lautt, Fargo; three brothers, Alvin, Gerhardt, both Streeter, Helmuth, Bismarck, N.D.; two sisters, Jeannie Morrison, Edina, Minn., Betty Bauer, Renton, Wash.; 26 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday from 9-9 in Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Funeral: Friday at 10:30 in the funeral home.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
