COLUMBUS - Phyllis M. Weiner, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007, at the Columbus Community Hospital. She was born on September 20, 1930, in Columbus, to Felix and Marie (Heimerl) Indermuehle.
Phyllis was married to Donald Weiner on June 24, 1950, at St Joseph Parish in East Bristol. She was a long time employee of the J.C. Penney Co. in Columbus until it closed. She then worked at the Southside Sportswear Shop and at the Columbus Public Library.
When she wasn't busy on the family farm raising her five children and working, she loved tending her flowers and going to auctions with Don. She loved fishing and was one of the Packers', Badgers', and Columbus Cardinals' most vocal fans.
She was a member of St Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus.
Survivors include three sons, Mark of Columbus, Michael (Linda Lee) of Cedarburg, Matthew (Sue) of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Marcia (Bernie) Schmidt of Wittenberg, and Michelle (Paul) Michalski of Oconomowoc; six grandchildren, Heather (Neil) Jacobson, Holly (Matthew) Reif, Erin, Kayla, Eric, and Luke; a great-grandson, Nathan; a brother, Roland Indermuehle; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2005; and a brother, Gilbert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus. The Rev. Tom Gillespie will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
