Birth: Mar. 18, 1906 Eureka McPherson County South Dakota, USA Death: Jan. 12, 2004 Salem Marion County Oregon, USA Amelia "Amy" C. Herr March 18, 1906 - Jan. 12, 2004 Amy passed away in Salem, OR. She was born in Eureka, SD, the 12th of 13 children. In 1931 she married Julius E. Herr who became a Baptist pastor serving churches in Gladstone, OR; Roswell, Wilder, and Filer, ID, and Sedro Wooley, WA. In 1945 they moved to Oregon and operated grocery stores in Salem, Portland, and Brownsville. Beginning in 1961, they served church in Glenn, Willits, Avenal, Waterford, and Modesto, CA, then retired in 1969 to Magic Sands Mobilehome Park in San Jose. In 1994, Amy moved into a retirement center in Salem. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Garner of Sunnyvale; son Rudy of Eugene, OR; son Dwight of Santa Cruz, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. They will always remember her loving selfless, caring, and faithful character. Memorial services were held on January 24th, in Salem, OR, with Interment at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose, CA.
