MOUNDS, Ill. -- Cecilia M. Tennis, 95, of Olmsted, Ill., died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.
She was born March 25, 1907, in Olmsted, daughter of A.J. and Emma Elizabeth Ehrstein Schoenborn. She married Clarence Tennis. He preceded her in death in 1967.
Survivors include two daughters, Leona Tennis-Kane of Las Vegas and Carolyn Mayberry of Cairo; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Grand Chain, Ill., with Monsignor Bill McGhee as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
