O'Tillie Bender was born July 24, 1916, near LaMoure, where she grew up and attended school. On June 28, 1939, she married Kermit Leppert in LaMoure. They lived near Berlin, N.D. She worked as a cook for Northern Pacific Railroad and Berlin Public School. He died in 1990. She moved to LaMoure. In 2002, she entered the care center. She is survived by three sons, Gregory (Jane), Lacey, Wash., Kenneth (Gretchen), Rogers City, Mich., Robert (Iris), Couer d'Alene, Idaho; a brother, Walter (Virginia), Tomah, Wis.; four sisters, Rachel (Wendell) Young, Arline Lutgen, both LaMoure, Ruth (Jim) Matzek, Chula Vista, Calif., Hilda (Red) Braun, Stockton, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation: Today from 3 to 7:30, with a prayer service at 7:30, in Dahlstrom Funeral Home, LaMoure. Funeral: Friday at 10 in Trinity Lutheran Church, LaMoure. Burial: Immanuel Cemetery near LaMoure.
