Somehow I stumbled across your site while looking up some family history
and thought I would send you a correction...(Francis and Thelma are my
grandparents). Their children are listed as Mary Robinson and Donna
Robinson, and i can assure you that this is incorrect. They?ve never had
children by those names. Francis and Thelma had 2 daughters and one son.
My mom was their eldest daughter Mae Irene Robinson 1929-2015. Their other
two children are still living and so I do not feel comfortable providing

Bio: Shoemaker, Mae IreneMae Irene Shoemaker-Howard-Robinson, was born on May 19, 1929 to Thelma and Francis Robinson, she was married to Robert D. Howard Sr. in 1947 and they divorced in the late 60's, they had 8 children together. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Marion Shoemaker. Mae moved to Phoenix, from Akron, Ohio in her teens, graduating from Phoenix Union High School. She always enjoyed adventures, especially with her children visiting ghost towns, mines, racing her station wagon at Beeline and PIR dragstrips and hunting for rare books and bottles. Being a dancer, singer and musician were a number of things she enjoyed. She instilled strong moral values in her children, her word was her bond. She survived thyroid cancer in the early 60's and went on to help others including doing a number of Hypoglycemia workshops. She devoted her early life to Roosevelt Girl Scout Council, Most Holy Trinity Catholic church, playing the organ on Sundays, setting up their first library, preparing the altar cloths and vestments. Never one to stay on one adventure too long, she loved living in Cordes Lakes and venturing out as usual and being an avid animal lover. She wrote several books and was published under the alias Merlin Arthur. She is survived by all of her 8 children, Robert D. Howard Jr., Greg (Edie) Howard, Jerald M. Howard, Dennis Howard, Diane (Steve) Hillis, David Howard, Debra Fenwick (Walt Cummins) and Lisa (Tim) Thomas. She has 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Services at Christ's Church of the Valley (7007 West Happy Valley Rd., Peoria, Az.) Jan. 12th at 10am. Reception at the church followed by graveside services - National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
