Leo Vincent Mosbrucker was born on June 22, 1942 to Vincent and Anna "Fix" Mosbrucker. He grew up in Mott North Dakota and attended school there until the eighth grade. Leo married the love of his life, Verna "Heupel" Mosbrucker on June 22, 1960. They were blessed with their first child, Bob, on November 14, 1961. One year later, they were blessed with their second son, Bill, on November 12, 1962, and their daughter Kathy was born four years later on June 22, 1966.
From 1961 to 1983, Leo and Verna kept busy working on the farm milking cows and raising horses. While they lived on the farm the house was always bustling with the children of family and friends who loved to visit. They started to manage the Elgin Creamery in 1983, and in 1984 they moved onto the Ervin Stelter farm south of Elgin. Leo Mosbrucker started working at the Dakota Grain Elevator in 1990 and was employed until 2000. He started working that same year at the Elgin terminal of Southwest Grain and was employed there until his sudden passing at his home on November 25, 2014.
Leo was an avid rancher with a passion for raising and riding horses. He was always available to ride his mare when a friend had cattle to gather whether it was in a blizzard or a hot summer day. Leo always looked forward to the spring brandings where he could saddle up and help bring in the cows. Leo loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great children and showing them how to ranch.
Leo is survived by his sons, Bob (Norma) Mosbrucker, Ashley, ND and Bill (DeAnn) Mosbrucker, Elgin, ND, daughter, Kathy Mosbrucker, Lander, WY; grandchildren, Jess Beck, Ryan (Sonya) Beck, Chris Mosbrucker, Holly (Emery) Gaugler, Shawn Dillon, Tesa (Dennis) Gierszewski, Robert Shannon, Charles Mosbrucker; great grandchildren, Dei'Yonna and La'Teshia Beck, Rylee, Cooper and Railyn Beck, Else and Dakota Mosbrucker, one sister, Sally (Lester) Waddell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Verna, his parents, two sisters: Leona and Delores, and one brother, Roger.
